What began as a dream, became a reality… and all it began with one little boys unquenchable desire for knowledge… at 3 years old. The little boy I speak of is my oldest son, who is now 16. At 3 years old, yep, just 3, he loved, loved, loved the Presidents of the United States. He knew them backwards and forwards. He drew them… WELL! He learned them from the dollar bills and was on a mission to learn all he could about them. Their interests, their wives and children’s names, what they brought with them to the White House and what they took with them when they left. Always a lover of books myself, I raised a “mini me” in that way! As I scoured bookstores in search of presidents books, what I found was that not only were the books not available, but those I was asking for help ALL shared the same ‘blank stare’. I was on my own mission and I was alone in my search. But I was determined and two years, another wonderful son and alot or research later, Children’s Chapters was born.
I became the “help” I was looking for and wanted to share myself and my knowledge and my love for kids books with others! I didn’t want anyone else leaving a bookstore filled with the same frustration I felt, time and time again. Visit the slideshow on the home catalog page… you will feel the magic of the store. And now, with the wonder of the internet, I am able to reach out and share that much more. I love what I do! I love kids books!
